Details of "Grebe": Built 1983, completed by Cornish Crabbers. Varnished slatted timber lining to cabin. Black hull, now painted. White boot-top. Red anti-fouling. White/cream deck/cockpit/cabin top. Sail number 101. -Yamaha 5 outboard, new May 1998. 2 stroke, about 20 hours running. Includes Yamaha charger for 12 volt battery. Remote fuel tank. -12 volt battery new in 1998. Masthead tricolour plus all-round white. -Echo sounder. -Varnished wood spars. -Sails tan, main has shrimp motif. Sails supplied by Cornish Crabbers, 1983. -New roller reefing gear in 1998. -All standing and running rigging new in 1998. -Small single burner gas cooker, gimballed. -Compass. -Stainless steel boarding ladder new in 1998 (From Cornish Crabbers). -CQR type "Harbourfast" anchor, with approx 2 metres chain, and 45 metres warp. -Fenders. -Telescopic combined boathook/jib pole. -Cockpit tent. -Winter cover. -Cockpit cover, sail cover. Launching trolley: Breakback trailer (circa 1983) in use as unbraked launching trolley/cradle. Approx 80% rebuilt in galvanised steel. Last surveyed in 1994. Cornish Shrimper, designed by Roger Dongay, built by Cornish Crabbers Ltd, of Rock, Cornwall. Can be easily trailed by the larger family car. Tough GRP construction with foam buoyancy firmly retained by bulkheads. Deep foredeck well. Secure locker for outboard motor when stowed. Large cockpit 7 feet in length. Comfortable berths for two in the cabin. Cockpit tent provides two further berths. Shoal draft with retractible centreplate keel and rudder plate allows shallow water sailing in safety. Tiller steering.
